The ice rink of the Valmiera Olympic Center is the only closed ice rink in North Vidzeme. Valmiera sports school's hockey and figure skating groups practice and compete in the ice hall. The inhabitants of Valmiera have fallen in love with skating, and they actively attend public skating rinks, while Riga "Dinamo" holds its summer training camp here.

Public skating

Public skating every weekend! Public skating with sticks is possible, as well as regular skating accompanied by music. No prior application is required.

Valmiera hockey championship

For more than ten years, the (formerly Vidzeme) Valmiera hockey championship has been taking place in the ice hall, which gathers more than 20 amateur hockey teams from all over Vidzeme every season. Championship games and statistics: VOCHOKEJS.LV

Ice skating lessons

In cooperation with the municipalities of Valmiera city and Koceni county, a skating training program for students is implemented in the ice rink, which develops children's skating skills, dexterity and coordination. The program is also offered to other Vidzeme district schools.

Figure skating

ledus_gladiatori

"Ice gladiators"

"Ledus gladiatori" is the biggest school skating competition in Latvia. The competition has been held since 2012 in groups 4-8. class teams. The number of participants is increasing every season, currently exceeding 1000 participants.

Camps

Hockey players and figure skaters not only from Latvia, but also from other European countries hold their camps here. Loud Latvian and world sports names such as Sandis Ozoliņš, Miks Indrašis, etc., participating in the camps.
